The Tennessee Shakespeare Festival in association with The Webb School is offering an exciting summer program for high school students in the heart of beautiful and historic Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Camp Tenn Shakes Theatre Camp is offering two sessions, two weeks each, beginning on June 22, 2009 and continuing through to the closing of our final Festival performance on July 18, 2009. In addition to our regular day class schedule we are delighted to offer evening workshops and carefully supervised boarding facilities on the Webb School campus for campers enrolled in boarding camp.

Camp Tenn Shakes' mission is to provide a balanced emphasis in education and entertainment through exploration and performance of the language, stories, character, and culture of William Shakespeare. Students will have the opportunity to watch and to work with professional festival performers and instructors as they prepare the second annual Tennessee Shakespeare Festival's productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet. Every camper will have the unique opportunity to perform on the Festival stage in recital on July 4 and July 18. Each summer, campers will also have the opportunity to audition to perform in the Festival productions or work backstage.
