Tennessee Shakespeare Festival
Bell Buckle TN 931-389-9322
Presented under contract with Actors
Equity Association.
Thanks to all who came to our inaugural season of the Tennessee Shakespeare Festival. Because of the unparalleled popularity of last summer's A Midsummer Night's Dream, we will open our 2009 Season with a revival of that show, with most of the same actors returning.
Our second show will be a frontier version of Romeo and Juliet, set just after the French and Indian War, when peace along the edge of the young United States was fragile, and hostilities an insult away. Join us for this refreshing and vigorous restaging of Shakespeare's most romantic masterpiece.
Make your plans early for a summer retreat into the magic of the middle Tennessee countryside and the works of William Shakespeare.
Middle Tennessee's best entertainment bargain- Festival Seating for a family of four is only $20. Premium seating under the tent is only $15 at the door, even less in advance.
Great news! TSF announces the gift of $50,000 from a Nashville-based private foundation. The gift was made in response to our impressive inaugural year of performances last summer on The Webb School campus, and particularly in response to our growing arts education programs for young people. The anonymous donation will provide the opportunity for TSF to proceed forward with both summer productions, creating a flagship cultural event for the Middle Tennessee area.
